It rained today. FINALLY! The kids tore outside at the first sign of a storm and gathered the first drops with their tongues. Then they ran around like crazy on the driveway and dead-end street. Soon we had neighborhood kids over in the street riding scooters and trying to fly kites in the rain. I love living on a dead-end. It's a great gathering place for friends and I don't have to worry about the kids getting flattened.

Boy, Paul makes it look like fun!
We live at the end of a cul-de-sac, so we have minimal traffic, too. It's been great for kids learning to ride bikes. Also, it's nice to know you have a few more seconds before you have to panic when someone wanders away while you're doing yard work.
